everything i need

 

i am currently unemployed 

it has been a challenging past month of getting serious 

about changing my lifestyle 

especially since i just arrived in a new, vibrant, exciting city,

where it costs money to breathe

although there always seems to be a nagging sense of want

i have come to realize that, i have everything i need.

i've come to appreciate that i have money to buy groceries every week, 

and i can pay my rent

although i am starting to get a little stir crazy spending lots of time at home

i am lucky to have time in the day to go for walks,

and bake

and blog

and knit

and make art

i'm trying really hard not to take this spare time for granted

 

i'm lucky, for this short time, to be unemployed.
