brooklyn flea

one of my favorite activities in the NYC region is Brooklyn Flea

while at Williamsburg Flea a couple of weeks ago 

i made a point of photographing everything i would have bought 

--had i a giant bucket of cash

revisiting everything i left behind was slightly painful

but worth this display of everything most-beautiful

my favorite find was definitely the giant white cat

it is made from the same mold as me mascot, panko

(the giant ceramic feline featured up there on the blog banner)

i've just recently begun to really appreciate architecture, 

especially the view from my livingroom window

these drawings are part of a series by James Gulliver Hancock

who is an illustrator originally from Australia 

currently based in Brooklyn, New York

he is attempting to draw all the buildings in New York 

it was so hard to narrow the images down...
