many many many of my friends are currently visiting NYC this week
if i were to be there now with them,
i would definitely have gone to see this show
'lost & found' is an exhibition of a collection of photos
found after the ginormous natural disaster in Japan on March 11, 2011
two months after the earthquake hit, a group called the “Memory Salvage
Project” began to sort out the photos and prepare them for return to
their owners.
the images were cleaned and digitized by volunteers
who came from Tokyo and other parts of Japan
i can't imagine the emotion that this exhibition must evoke.
