grey//gray

yesterday i found my second gray hair & it got me excited

i cant remember the last time i dyed my hair & i dont know that i want to ever dye it again

so naturally the shiny grey hairs are slowly making their appearance

 i think that grey hair, especially natural pure white hair, is the most beautiful

i wonder if i will change my mind later in life?

"Stephanie exposes a full roll of 35mm film of only "people," 

...Timothy reloads the film again into the same camera, 

to imprint only "places" and locations to the same roll. 

 These images are all the end result of our ongoing series

muddy feet

i went to a back yard tree fort party

there was a pond, and it was muddy

i tried to capture all the bare muddy feet i could 

but i couldn't include the photos of the feet without nail polish

they gave me the heeby-jeebies

i think about this artwork whenever i apply lipstick

this large-scale photographic series titled 'lipsticks' by stacey greene 

captures lipsticks near the end of the tube, after a countless number of applications

each is titled after the first name of the woman they belong to

roberta, wendy,  lisa, brenda...

lost & found

many many many of my friends are currently visiting NYC this week

if i were to be there now with them, 

i would definitely have gone to see this show

'lost & found' is an exhibition of a collection of photos

 found after the ginormous natural disaster in Japan on March 11, 2011

two months after the earthquake hit, a group called the “Memory Salvage Project” began to sort out the photos and prepare them for return to their owners. 

the images were cleaned and digitized by volunteers 

who came from Tokyo and other parts of Japan

i can't imagine the emotion that this exhibition must evoke.
